The Jefferson Parish Inspector General is accusing Jefferson Parish Attorney Mike Power of blocking attempts by his office to investigate possible ethics violations related to a proposed settlement of a lawsuit filed by a political consultant against the parish. The Parish Council is scheduled to discuss, and possibly pass, a resolution at Wednesday's (Jan. 11) meeting that would settle the suit with Greg Buisson.
