Jefferson Parish paid more than $1.4 million in overtime in 2014 to a small number of exempt employees who are not required by federal law to get the additional compensation, according to a new audit performed by the Inspector General's Office. The audit, released Thursday (March 3), said there "remains a substantial opportunity for cost savings."
