The Jefferson Parish Council on Wednesday (Oct. 22) deferred one measure pertaining to the inspector general's office and ditched another.
For the second time in as many meetings, the council put off voting on Ben Zahn's resolution to request a change in state law to allow the inspector general to access privileged legal communications by parish officials. Zahn says such access now constitutes a breach of attorney-client protection, a position supported by Deborah Foshee and legal ethicist Dane Ciolino.
