Charter Proposition 8 on the Dec. 6 ballot in Jefferson Parish would let the inspector general's office roll over unused money from one year to the next, to build reserves. The reserve fund would be capped, however, at the amount equal to the office's most recent annual property tax revenue, now about $1.3 million.
