While the current dispute between Jefferson Parish’s inspector general and parish government’s top lawyer has centered around the fairly narrow issues of access to email servers and attorney-client privilege, the controversy also represents the first real test of the parish’s commitment to the new investigative office.
Parish officials say they want to give the inspector general what he is seeking, but how that might happen is uncertain.
