An inspector general’s report on the process being used to select a private company to run Jefferson Parish’s two public hospitals will remain under wraps for up to a month longer to allow parish officials time to submit a response.
Both Parish Inspector General David McClintock and Parish Attorney Deborah Foshee, whose office is drafting a response to the report on the planned privatization of East Jefferson General Hospital and West Jefferson Medical Center, said the delay was a procedural issue and did not indicate serious problems between the two agencies.
